Health Insurance

Health Insurance is the key component to your employee benefit package. Choosing the right plan options for your company and employees can be confusing. We are here to assist, educate, and broker the most favorable carrier and plan options available.

Disability Insurance

Disability Insurance will typically cover 60% of your gross income up to a maximum level amount.
Short Term Disability provides weekly benefits for employees that are partially disable by a covered injury, illness, mental disorder or pregnancy.
Long Term Disability is designed with an elimination period, typically 90 days, that will take over when the Short Term Disability ends. Benefit periods range from 2 years to age 70. It is designed to cover catastrophic claims that will last a long time.

life Insurance

Employers often provide a small amount of life insurance coverage for free called basic group life. Typical coverage amounts are $25,000, $50,000 or an employee’s annual salary, rounded to the nearest $1,000. Because this is free, and coverage is generally guaranteed, there is no reason not to accept it. You will be asked to name a beneficiary or beneficiaries.

You may also have the option to buy supplemental group life insurance. These plans generally allow workers to buy extra coverage — sometimes up to three or four times an employee’s annual salary. The higher amounts often require filling out an “evidence of insurability” health questionnaire.

Vision Insurance

Vision insurance helps offset the costs of routine eye exams and also helps pay for vision correction wear, like eyeglasses, that may be prescribed by physicians or eye-care specialists. Vision insurance is generally considered supplemental insurance, which means that consumers generally buy vision insurance in addition to other types of medical insurance policies.

Dental Insurance

Dental Insurance is designed to pay a portion of the costs associated with dental care. There are several different types of individual, family, or group dental insurance plans grouped into three primary categories: (1) Indemnity that allows you to see any dentist you want who accepts this type of coverage; (2) Preferred Provide Network dental plans (PPO); and (3) Dental Health Managed Organizations (DHMO) in which you are assigned or select an in-network dentist and/or in-network dental office and use the dental benefits in that network.

Worksite Products

Worksite products have their roots in individual insurance products. Products like Critical Illness, Accident, and Permanent Life are often referred to as worksite products. Permanent life, which has very different characteristics, might be described as universal life, whole life or “permanent term.”
